Samuel Lance
Hey everyone! My name is Sam Lance, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Kansas Journalism School. Currently I work for Adam Zagoria over at ZAGSBLOG.com and also run The Hum: A KU Hoops Podcast via the Field of 68. I'm excited to be starting on The Daily this year! Especially with me being an absolute basketball junkie. Some of my other past experiences include covering Kansas for 247Sports and as Sports Editor for the University Daily Kansan. I'm excited for what the future may hold.
A blue blood's fresh start
Kansas revamped its roster after back-to-back underwhelming seasons. Can a freshman-led program that emphasizes defense emerge as a contender? Plus: The Jayhawks inked their PG of the future amid a busy weekend for 2026 commitments, Georgia extended Mike White, the WCC announced its schedule, and much more.

Indiana first impressions
Hoosiers played their first exhibition on Wednesday under new coach Darian DeVries, who's largely relying on mid-major transfers and floor spacing. Plus: Five SEC matchups we love from their conference schedule announcement, Illinois lands a '26 recruit, and much more.

Hog wild
Arkansas might have a Final Four-caliber roster. Can John Calipari mesh a mix of experience and freshman talent? Plus: Dayton lands an impact transfer, Illinois picks up a notable 2026 commitment, the American tweaks its tournament format, a peek at what EA College Basketball might look like and more.
