Four-star Isaiah Santos schedules multiple officials, breaks down summer

You’re not going to find many players wired like class of 2027 prospect Isaiah Santos.

The 6-5 combo guard/wing is simply tough: he rebounds, he goes after loose balls, he flies around defensively and guards multiple positions.

Really, anything that impacts winning, Santos has shown this summer he’s your man.

“I go on the floor and do the things most people don't want to do,” Santos said. “I could have 30 points, I could have five points or zero points even. It doesn’t matter. I believe I can impact the game in multiple different ways that keep me on the floor rather than just scoring. So even when I'm not producing offensively, my games off, I can still produce in multiple other ways.”

Santos was a key piece in helping AB Elite, headlined by five-star point guard Beckham Black, to the Peach Jam quarterfinals and overall record of 15-6. Across the 21 games, the four-star averaged 14.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals while shooting 50% from the field and 39% from 3.

“What he does is he just does all the things -- he just makes all the winning plays for us,” AB Elite head coach James Staff said. “So he puts us in position where we get extra possessions, offensive rebounds. Defensively, I think he's the most underrated defensive player. Every game he sits down and he plays against very good players and he shuts them down every single game.

“Nobody is talking about that because they talk about his scoring, effort and rebounding. But I'd vote him defensive player of the year because again, we put him on tough guards week in and week out and he steps up to the challenge and gets it done every single time."

On the recruitment front, Santos has already officially visited Butler, and he started more official visits right after Peach Jam. Which schools will he trip, and where does he stand with his overall recruitment?
