Feast Week is over, but we’re entering the Challenge portion of the season, as the ACC and SEC kick things off tonight, and the Big 12 and Big East get going later this week. College hoops is the best.

1. Xavier ‘came unraveled’ in loss to Oakland

Without two of its best players available, Xavier knew it would be tested this season. We’ll see if Monday’s 78-76 loss to Oakland provides an inflection point for a team with NCAA Tournament aspirations.

Sometimes these are the losses that derail an at-large bid. The Musketeers don’t think so.

"We needed to get punched in the mouth like this,” Abou Ousmane said afterward.

It was quite the punch.
