Who got the golden ticket?

This year's loaded NBA Draft lottery sets up quite the debate for which college standouts will get taken first. Plus: LSU's roster build continues, more portal additions, Oklahoma and Virginia land 4-star prep prospects, and much more.

Good morning! We’re glad to be back after a restful week (for us). It wasn’t quite as quiet as we hoped from an overall news perspective, but that’s OK.

We’ll get you caught up on the weekend’s news and do a quick review of the last seven days.

1. NBA Draft order is in

The NBA Draft lottery took place over the weekend, and with that we now have the official 2026 draft order. Get your big boards ready everyone, and if you’re friends with an Indiana Pacers fan, maybe check and see if they’re doing okay.

Using our latest mock draft, the top 14 picks would now be AJ Dybantsa (Wizards), Darryn Peterson (Jazz), Caleb Wilson (Grizzlies), Cam Boozer (Bulls), Darius Acuff (Clippers), Mikel Brown Jr. (Nets), Keaton Wagler (Kings), Kingston Flemings (Hawks), Nate Ament (Mavericks), Brayden Burries (Bucks), Labaron Philon (Warriors), Chris Cenac (Thunder), Aday Mara (Heat) and Hannes Steinbach (Hornets).

Dybantsa has emerged as the favorite to land in Washington at No. 1 overall, and with a draft this loaded at the top, it may be hard to go wrong.

“I don't see much disparity from No. 1 to the No. 8 or 9 pick,” an NBA GM told The Field of 68. “I think the No. 3 or 4 pick may be the best because you won't get crucified for not taking Dybantsa, Peterson, Boozer or Wilson down the line. The decision will be made for you."

We will have tons of upcoming NBA Draft content including an updated mock draft coming out on YouTube this week.

2. Will Wade’s portal splash + more transfer movement

Much has been made of Will Wade’s roster building — or lack thereof — as he’s moved jobs from NC State to LSU. He didn’t have a single commitment for weeks, but the pieces are starting to come together.
