SEC Preview
Our latest offseason preview show focused on the SEC. What stood out? Plus: Kansas and Arkansas received commitments from bigs, Donovan Dent will seek another year of eligibility, and more.
Good morning! We have just one more day until coaches start packing AAU gyms. Let's get to the news.
Your Retirement Has a Vulnerability Most Advisors Never Mention.
Dollar-denominated accounts — 401(k)s, IRAs, savings — are fully exposed to inflation, currency debasement, and government policy. Most financial advisors won't tell you that, because most of them don't profit when you know. Here's what's actually available to you:
A Gold IRA uses the same tax protections you already have
Physical gold sits outside inflation and banking risk
Accounts can go live in as little as 24 hours
Zero setup fees, zero-fee buyback guaranteed

1. Notables from SEC offseason preview
The last two weeks, the Field of 68 did its offseason preview of the ACC and Big East. This week, it's the SEC, which looks like the best conference in college basketball. Jeff Goodman, Rob Dauster, and Matt McCall spent an hour breaking down all 16 teams.
Below are a few takeaways from the stream, but make sure to check out the whole show!
The consensus top three was Florida, Texas, and Tennessee. Florida was the clear No. 1, but the door was open for Texas or Tennessee at No. 2
Goodman tabbed Mississippi State and South Carolina as the bottom two. Dauster responded with "I don't know how you could put Mississippi State in the bottom two without putting Auburn in the bottom two as well."
A pair of Tigers sparked the biggest conversation of the power rankings segment. McCall said, "No way I'm taking LSU over Missouri." Goodman, assuming former Big East POY RJ Luis plays, put LSU at No. 8, ahead of Missouri.
In terms of top transfer adds, Goodman went off the map with Texas big man David Punch, calling him the "Perfect Sean Miller player and someone who can protect Matas (Vokietaitis).”
McCall went with a Kentucky player, but it's not who you think. It's Washington transfer, Zoom Diallo. "In terms of transfers in this league, he's a guy that doesn't get talked about enough," McCall said.
Meanwhile, Dauster went with a former All-American in Texas A&M guard PJ Haggerty. "He's been a bucket everywhere that he's been, he's been an All-American, he's been on a team that's won 29 games (at Memphis)."
2. Kansas, Arkansas add bigs
Name me a better duo than Bill Self and big men. Hint: You probably can't.
Self grabbed another big man in Serbian pro Mihailo Musikic on Tuesday. The 7-foot, 230-pound center spent time with three European clubs this year (Sloga, Borac Kocak, and Mladost Admiral Zemun), where he averaged 8.2 ppg, 5.7 rpg, and 1.4 apg in 29 games.
