1. Mike Woodson won’t be Indiana’s coach next season
The college hoops coaching carousel is usually quiet until March. It’s about to become a roller coaster.
Can confirm @JeffRabjohns report.
Indiana will part ways with Mike Woodson. The only question now is some of the details - which are still being ironed out.

Woodson took the Hoosiers to the NCAA Tournament in his first two seasons, but missed it last season after a 19-14 finish. During the summer of 2024, Indiana reportedly spent more than $5 million on transfer portal additions, including big man Oumar Ballo and guards Myles Rice and Kanaan Carlyle.
The Hoosiers were picked second in the unofficial preseason Big Ten poll, but have fallen well short of those expectations. At At 14-9 overall and 5-7 in Big Ten play, the team is unlikely to make the NCAA Tournament — which spelled the end for Woodson.
Know what else didn’t help? Going 16-38 in Quad 1 games, and losing 28 times by double digits. Over the last two seasons, Indiana is 0-10 vs. ranked teams. He’s 77-49 in his tenure.
So who will Indiana target?
Expect to hear Brad Stevens’ name frequently mentioned, but the Celtics’ President of Basketball Operations is a long shot. So we’ll turn to Jeff Goodman for a deeper look into the potential candidates.
