This summer, they’re sweetening the deal with five new fun and tasty meal options.

1. Nova might just be good after all

Villanova started its offseason slowly, but an early August addition capped off a series of solid moves.

Former Alabama wing Kris Parker said Tuesday that he’ll head to Philly. Even better for the ‘Cats, the former 3-star recruit redshirted at Alabama last year, giving him four years of eligibility at Villanova.

Parker described his possible role as “a bigger guard. They have point guards and forwards and big men but need someone bigger who can handle the ball. They said that through the season, depending on how well I am playing, that my role could grow,” Parker told 247sports.

The 6-9 wing should provide a defensive spark for a team more offensive-centric players. (With some added athleticism.)

The team will run through point-forward Eric Dixon (16.6 ppg, 6.5 rpg), along with transfer guards Jhamir Brickus (13.9 ppg, 4.8 apg) and Wooga Poplar (13.1 ppg at Miami).

The Wildcats’ fortunes changed dramatically in the past few months. Once Max Shulga decommitted and went back to VCU, it was a rough roster. But Dixon returned to school, and Poplar and big-man Enoch Boakye transferred in, and Parker provides one more piece that could boost Kyle Neptune’s squad.

At one point, it appeared ‘Nova would be at the bottom of the Big East. Now? It’s a roster with enough talent to make an NCAA tourney run. We’ll see how it shakes out.
