1. Another day, another lawsuit

As the theme has gone this offseason, we have another lawsuit on our hands for class of 2022 players seeking injunctions to play another season of college basketball.

And the latest one is a doozy.

Some of the most notable players to emerge from the lawsuit filed in Guilford County Superior Court include:

• Darrion Williams, NC State (14 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.8 apg)

• Reed Bailey, Indiana (11.4 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.8 apg)

• Malik Reneau, Miami (13.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.9 apg)

• Chisom Okpara, Stanford (13.9 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.2 apg)

• Tre Holloman, NC State (6.3 ppg, 2.3 apg)

• Ven-Allen Lubin, NC State (13.6 ppg, 7.1 rpg)

• Dallin Hall, Virginia (5.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 4.4 apg)

• Donovan Atwell, Texas Tech (10.5 ppg, 2.6 rpg)

• And several more (50+ names in lawsuit)

It's important to mention that just because a lawsuit is filed doesn't mean it will succeed. And even if an injunction is granted, it doesn't mean the NCAA won't appeal the decision.

Still, this is the latest legal challenge from class of 2022 players seeking another season of eligibility under the NCAA's new five-in-five model. Judges have granted preliminary injunctions in similar cases, like in Ohio, but the long-term legal outcome still remains uncertain.

2. Clemson, Marquette in action overseas

We had two programs playing basketball games overseas on Thursday.

Let’s get right to the action, starting with Marquette, who defeated Trinity Western in Vancouver, 89-59. Junior forward Royce Parham led the way with 15 points and 13 rebounds, and it was also notable that Marquette’s transfer additions Sananda Fru and Nolan Minessale got the start.

Shaka Smart had high praise for Parham’s outing.
