1. Oklahoma State’s Kashie Natt able to play next season

A week ago, the NCAA reportedly denied Oklahoma State transfer guard Kashie Natt's request for an eligibility waiver, denying him another season of college basketball. He and his legal counsel countered with a lawsuit seeking an injunction to play the 2026-27 season.

The news on Monday was favorable for Natt, as he was granted an ex parte temporary restraining order, allowing him to participate in team activities with the Cowboys. While it’s not a full injunction, and a hearing with a new judge will take place in the coming weeks for a final order on the matter, there’s a reasonable chance that Natt will be suiting up for the Big 12 team next season.

In Natt’s lone D-I season at Sam Houston, he averaged 10.8 ppg and 8.2 rpg and shot 43% from the field. He earned Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year honors and, despite being listed at 6-3, was one of the top athletes in the portal this offseason.

If Natt is able to play for Oklahoma State, he’ll be used as a versatile defender who can handle quality scorers while also impacting the game in other ways. The Cowboys, who ranked 354th in the country in scoring allowed (83.2 ppg), absolutely will need Natt’s defense to move up the Big 12 ladder.

Natt could be the first of many to be granted an extra year in court. There are already multiple lawsuits pending, with a new one coming out on Monday. Notable college basketball players named include Jason Edwards, Jalen Washington, Chendall Weaver, and AJ Storr.

2. UConn adds Egor Amosov to 2026-27 roster

UConn announced its final roster move on Monday, landing Russian prospect Egor Amosov.
