Four-star 2027 wing Marri Wesley updates recruitment with list cut, visits pending
The 6-6 wing had a successful summer with AB Elite and now turns to evaluating his recruitment.

When it comes to playing with toughness, class of 2027 prospect Marri Wesley has it figured out.
Wesley, the 6-6 wing from Dallas, was one of Nike EYBL’s most menacing defenders and efficient rebounders this summer, averaging 12.3 points, 7.6 boards and 2.7 assists for AB Elite across 21 games.
His play helped AB Elite make it to the quarterfinals of Peach Jam and have one of the best overall records on the 17u circuit.
“I would say I expand my game from the inside to the out,” Wesley said. “I'm a rebounding wing that can do a little bit of everything. Pass, facilitate, shoot, rebound and play defense for the most part."
Next for Wesley in his development will be handling the basketball better and continuing to improve his shot. Still, there’s a lot to like about Wesley’s game in its current form.
"I talked to some NBA people, and they love him,” AB Elite head coach James Stafford said. “They love his skillset. They love everything he does. He just has a certain toughness about him, a toughness we needed to put us in position to have a chance to win games. We don’t do it without him and his effort. We don’t.”
As his play picked up this summer, so did Wesley’s recruitment. His offer list includes schools like Cincinnati, FAU, Georgetown, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, SMU, TCU, UCF, USC and more. He’s now set to narrow down his schools with several programs making serious inroads.
