Five-star point guard Navorro Bowman Jr. names five schools he'll visit in the fall

As the son of an NFL legend, class of 2027 five-star prospect Navorro Bowman Jr. knows what it takes to be a successful professional athlete, and it shows in his demeanor on the court and the way he carries himself off of it.

Bowman, the 6-3 point guard out of Notre Dame Sherman Oaks (CA), has been Team WhyNot’s leader and most consistent player all summer on the EYBL circuit. He’s currently averaging 24.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists at Peach Jam and has led WhyNot to a 2-1 record, putting them in good position to make the final bracket.

“I'm a leader,” Bowman said. “I feel like not many people can do what I do. Defending, scoring, leading my guys, telling them what sets to be in, who to guard. I feel like there's not a lot of people who can do that. So just us showing it by getting some big wins is everything I can ask for right now."

Earlier this summer, Bowman also got the chance to compete with Team USA U17 at the FIBA World Cup in Instanbul, Turkey. There, Bowman averaged 11.9 points, 3.6 assists and 2.7 rebounds to help USA win gold.

“It was one of my favorite experiences, playing with top guys and making the team from 36 people and some getting cut,” Bowman said. “So it was amazing just flying out to Turkey with the guys and winning gold of course."

As far as his recruitment, Bowman holds offers from 20+ programs, but he specifically mentioned Alabama, Arizona, Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina and UCLA as the schools reaching out most.

He further evaluated his recruitment below and named five schools he’ll officially visit in the fall.
