Five-star 2028 prospect Benjamin Berrouet breaks down recruitment after standout summer
The 6-7 rising junior will take a fall visit to a Blue Blood and has several other schools entering the picture after leading AB Elite to the 16u Peach Jam Final Four.

Every stage he’s stepped on this summer, class of 2028 prospect Benjamin Berrouet has proved he’s one of the best players in the country.
At Nike Elite 100 Camp in June, Berrouet, the 6-7 forward out of Dynamic Prep (TX), dominated the camp and was named a standout by several EYBL coaches. He also averaged 11.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 17.5 minutes per game playing against older players at NBPA Top 100 Camp.
His production was no different on the AAU circuit. Berrouet carried AB Elite’s 16u program all the way to the Peach Jam semis before they fell to Team CP3. The five-star forward averaged 17.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocks while shooting 50% from 3 during the Peach Jam run.
While Berrouet’s a physically dominant player, he’s also comfortable handling the basketball on the perimeter and pushing it up the court after securing a defensive rebound. Oftentimes during Elite 100 Camp scrimmages, the guards deferred to Berrouet to break down his defender and make a play.
“I’m a point forward,” Berrouet said of his game. “This year and last year, I’ve been working every day, trying to become a bigger guard.”
Because of his strong showings this summer, Berrouet has started to land some major offers, including Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Cal, Illinois, Kentucky, NC State, Texas A&M, UCLA and USC all since the contact period opened on June 15.
He also previously held offers from the likes of Georgia Tech, Houston, Iowa, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, SMU, Texas, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt and more before the contact period opened.
It’s still very early in Berrouet’s recruitment, but the five-star gave a glimpse at where things stand below, including an upcoming visit to a Blue Blood.
