1. TCU takes it to Tech, boosts its NCAA tourney hopes

No. 10 Texas Tech was riding high after winning at Iowa State on Saturday. TCU rained on the Red Raiders' parade with a 73-65 win in Lubbock. And the Horned Frogs (20-10, 10-7) may have sealed an NCAA Tournament berth in the process.

TCU, which entered Tuesday as an 11-seed according to BracketMatrix, owns neutral wins over Florida and Wisconsin, a home win over Iowa State, and Tuesday’s road win.

The Horned Frogs used a 12-3 run midway through the second half to take control, and did it with offensive rebounding. It grabbed 35% of its misses and capitalized on Tech’s lack of size.

"It's what we're emphasizing," TCU coach Jamie Dixon said. "We're playing a little bigger. Our offensive rebounding has improved. It wasn't good early, and I've always had good offensive rebounding teams, and this team was not living up to what we could be". "We've really taken it up a notch, and we saw that tonight".

The Frogs also pounded the point since Tech didn’t have JT Toppin, and Luke Bamgboye had foul trouble. Xavier Edmonds (20 points) and Micah Robinson (15 points) kept the offense steady for TCU.

Christian Anderson struggled for the Red Raiders (22-8, 11-5), who had won three in a row since Toppin’s injury. He scored 11 points (4-of-11 from the field, 1-of-7 from 3), and turned the ball over six times. With Toppin out, Texas Tech can't withstand off-nights from Anderson.

TCU hosts Cincinnati on Saturday. That’ll be a key bubble game for both teams. Tech is at BYU and is trying to secure a top 4 spot for the Big 12 Tournament.

2. Georgia an at-large lock? + more bubble results

Let’s do a rundown of how Tuesday affected the NCAA Tournament picture.

Georgia 98, No. 16 Alabama 88: It’s hard to out-offense Alabama (22-8, 12-5 in SEC), but Georgia did just that. Kanon Catchings scored a career-high 32 points as the Bulldogs (21-9, 9-8) snapped Bama’s eight-game winning streak and probably cemented an at-large bid.
