Duke's ready for more
A talented roster and a schedule that'll test it? Seems like a winning combo for Jon Scheyer's program. Plus: Oregon adds a frontcourt starter, a busy day in high school recruiting, the ACC announces a schedule adjustment and Kentucky-Louisville becomes a November showdown.
Good morning! You’re almost to the weekend. Let's get to Wednesday’s news.
Let Us Do The Heavy Lifting
Students have bigger things to worry about right now than moving, so don't bother with buying boxes, renting trucks, or coordinating move out logistics.
Here’s the deal:
We bring boxes to your students
We pick up everything from their room
We keep it safe all summer
We deliver it to their new place next semester, on or off campus
Storage Scholars handles everything you need to transition into summer break without breaking the bank.

1. Is Duke set for another deep run?
It won’t be easy to replicate the No. 1 KenPom offense and defense while making a run to the Final Four. But coach Jon Scheyer is sure trying to assemble a roster capable of winning it all.
The Blue Devils lost all five starters from their 35-4 squad, but will have some continuity. Guards return Caleb Foster and Isaiah Evans, and will help freshman Cayden Boozer lead the backcourt. Defensive stopper Maliq Brown returns along with Patrick Ngongba, and Duke brings in No. 3 overall recruit Cameron Boozer. That will be one of the most formidable front lines in the entire country. The Boozer twins may be the most accomplished players to ever enter college.
The wing? Covered. Washington State transfer Cedric Coward is in the NBA Draft process, but is expected to suit up for Duke next season. Incoming freshman Nikolas Khamenia brings versatility as a top-15 recruit, and he can really shoot. That top nine is dangerous, and we haven’t even gotten to some of the other pieces to the puzzle like returnees Cameron Sheffield and Darren Harris, and Rice transfer Ifeanyi Ufochukwu, who signed on Wednesday.
On paper, this is undoubtedly a top-5 team. Perhaps just as importantly, it’s a roster that’ll be tested early and often during its non-conference slate.
That Duke cupcake schedule narrative is gone next year.

It appears Scheyer has once again built a winner. (One 2025-26 computer projection agrees.) With continuity, elite talent, depth and a loaded nonconference slate to test them early, the Blue Devils could be primed for another deep run.
2. Former 5-star on the move + more portal commits
Ohio State forward Sean Stewart is taking his talents to the West Coast but will be staying in the Big Ten conference.
