Class of 2027 forward Landon Veal names five visits
The 6-8 forward was a key role player for JL3 Elite this summer and has now set some officials for the fall.

On the EYBL circuit this summer, class of 2027 prospect Landon Veal emerged as one of the more intriguing frontcourt prospects in the country.
The 6-8 forward from Houston Christian (TX) and the JL3 Elite EYBL AAU program can really play above the rim and block shots, and he showcased that ability this summer.
With JL3 Elite, Veal averaged 8.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 18.9 minutes per contest. His two best performances came in arguably JL3 Elite’s two toughest games of the season: 18 points vs. Team CP3 at Peach and 16 points vs. AB Elite in Memphis.
“Landon was a big piece of what we did this summer,” JL3 Elite head coach Torrence Botts said. “Missing the first session set him back a little, but by Kansas City you could really see him finding his rhythm and making an impact.
“One of his biggest strengths is his off-ball defense. He averaged just under two blocks per game and has really good instincts and anticipation. At 6-8, he gives you a lot of versatility offensively. He can stretch the floor with the three and create off the dribble and finish at the rim or shooting in the mid range. His impact goes well beyond the box score. A lot of the little things he does such as defend multiple positions and make the extra play don’t always show up statistically, but they’re a big reason we won games this summer.”
Through his recruitment process, Veal has reported offers from the likes of Auburn, Charlotte, George Mason, Mississippi State, New Mexico, Pepperdine, Tarleton State, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas A&M-CC, Tulsa, UNLV, UTEP, UTRGV and UTSA.
