Class of 2027 five-star wing Demarcus Henry breaks down top eight schools

It’s been a summer to remember for class of 2027 five-star prospect Demarcus Henry.

The 6-7 wing out of AZ Compass Prep has risen all the way to the No. 4 overall prospect in the class via 247Sports, and he’s also contributed to winning a lot of basketball games along the way.

Earlier this summer, Henry helped Team USA to a silver medal in the U18 Americup. Currently, he’s competing for a Peach Jam title with Vegas Elite after averaging 20.2 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.5 blocks across 11 regular season contests.

“I'm very grateful, very blessed,” Henry said of his summer. “When I was unranked, I always said I was one of the best players in the country and always had that vision in my head. I just put the work in every day and I'm seeing the results. God has my back, and I'm just trying to show what I can do. I feel like I'm one of the best players in the country, but there's still more to do though."

What is the next step for Henry in his game?

“Just playing more poised with the ball, making the right reads,” Henry said. “Little things. Obviously, I'm going to keep having a high motor and just keeping versatile with the ball and be able to play 1-4. Whatever you need me to do on the floor, I'm going to do it. I feel like I'm the best player in the country and that's really what's left, just prove that, that's what I'm here to do and win Peach Jam too."

During his recruitment process, Henry amassed 20+ offers from programs across the country, but he’s now down to a top eight. He broke down all eight of those schools below and gave a timeline for taking visits and making a decision:
