Smooth moves

BYU's talent upgrade continues after landing a familiar name with serious pedigree. Plus, St. John's gets a big man, Seton Hall goes deep and we grade the Big West.

Good morning! Good luck with the heat dome today.

Let's get to Tuesday’s news.

1. Get an NBA Draft preview

The NBA Draft is just one week away, so there’s no better time than now for our panel of draft experts to get a Mock Draft rolling.

TONIGHT at 8 pm ET, it’s the Field of 68’s NBA Mock Draft with expert insights from Sam Vecenie, Corey Tulaba, Jonathan Wasserman and Adam Finklestein. Oh, Rob Dauster and Jeff Goodman also will be there.

Who should the first pick be? Alex Sarr? Zaccharie Rissacher? Donovan Clingan? Bronny James? (Kidding)

For a draft where there’s little consensus about the top pick, or about which players will impact an NBA franchise, it’ll be useful/helpful show to watch for anyone wondering what’ll happen next week.

2. BYU’s hoops pedigree just took a jump

Kevin Young just keeps making recruiting waves in Provo. First it was top international recruit Egor Demin. Tuesday brought a player with a familiar name and an NBA game.
