1. Takeaways from Big 12 offseason preview

Tuesday is the day for the Field of 68's offseason preview streams, and the final Power Conference they touched on is the Big 12.

Jeff Goodman, Rob Dauster, and Norm Roberts spent 75 minutes discussing all the moves in the Big 12. Here are a few takeaways, as well as Jeff Goodman’s power rankings:

• Roberts tabbed Iowa State as his offseason winner. He also spoke highly of Northwestern transfer Tre Singleton. "He's almost of a clone of Joshua Jefferson. He plays the same way: 6-8, can play on the perimeter, can handle it, can pass it, can score."

• The loser for the conference from Rob Dauster? The whole league. "There's a clear-cut national title contender in most of these other leagues, and I don't think there is in the Big 12".

• Goodman was less bullish on Kansas State. "I don't think they had as much money as you thought they were going to have, and I think the roster reflects that.”

• The biggest disagreement on the power rankings front was Kansas. Dauster had them in tier two behind Houston, Arizona, and Iowa State. "I think Kansas is going to look a lot like BYU at the end of the year, where it was: give the ball to AJ (Dybantsa), hope he goes for 40, and if he doesn't, we'll be in trouble."

2. LJ Cason lands with Miami

The elite recruiting of Jai Lucas continues.

Miami landed a commitment from Michigan transfer LJ Cason, the lone player who entered the portal after Dusty May left for the NBA in June.
