Ah, the initial KenPom rankings

Who's too high and too low? We have thoughts. Plus: A lot of weekend commitments, exhibition roundups, highlights from fan events, and college hoops loses a legend.

For years, buying cannabis meant taking a trip to a dispensary, dealing with long lines, limited selection, and inconsistent pricing. But thanks to changing laws and innovative online retailers, buying high-quality THC products is now 100% federally legal—and more convenient than ever.

And when it comes to quality and reliability, Mood is leading the way…

Because they’ve completely flipped the script on cannabis shopping. Instead of memorizing hundreds of confusing strain names – like “Gorilla Glue” and "Purple Monkey Breath" – you simply choose how you want to feel: Creative, Social, Focused, Relaxed, Happy, Aroused, and more.

Each gummy is formulated with the perfect blend of Delta-9 THC and botanicals to deliver the perfect mood.

Want a great night’s sleep? Try the Sleepytime gummies. Need laser focus Mind Magic gummies have you covered. Hotter sex? Try the Sexual Euphoria gummies.

It's cannabis shopping that actually makes sense for “normal” people.

1. Early takeaways from KenPom’s rankings

Conversations about analytical computer rankings dominated my Sunday morning social media feeds. Yup, college basketball must be close.

The KenPom rankings are officially here.

Some thoughts:

  • Houston is widely seen as the preseason No. 1 team in the country, and it’s much of the same on KenPom. The Cougs are projected to have the No. 1 overall defense and a top-10 offense.

  • The computer rankings love Illinois. They came in at No. 19 in our preseason Top 25, but all the numbers gurus have the Illini in the top 10. Brad Underwood’s bunch is No. 6 on KenPom, No. 7 on Torvik and No. 8 on Evan Miya.

  • KenPom is low on St. John’s compared to the media, and even the other computer rankings, where the Red Storm are consistently top-10. Even the new coaching component didn’t help their ranking.

  • Overall, KenPom is higher on teams like Baylor, Clemson, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin and lower on teams like Miami, NC State and Oklahoma.

  • The Top 25 by league: Big 12 (7), Big Ten (7), SEC (6), Big East (2), ACC (2). There’s 12 SEC teams and 11 Big Ten teams in the top 40. The Big East has just two, but four teams are ranked 40-50.

  • Not a single team from a power conference is outside the top 100. Florida State is the lowest at No. 96. This is unlikely to hold up all season.

  • The Mountain West and Atlantic 10 are considered the two best mid-major leagues heading into the season. Both leagues have six schools or more in the top 100.

2. The weekend in 2026 recruiting …

The 2026 commits keep rolling as we move through October, and three power league schools received pledges over the weekend. Let’s dive in!
